If you’ve been thinking of getting a new pair of headphones lately, then we highly suggest moving on from those same-old brands and trying out a new one, namely the Arctis range by Steelseries.
If you’re a gamer or someone who is into techy things, then I’m sure you have heard of the Arctis headphones, which are often considered an excellent headphone range for gaming. However, they’re also great for daily use, such as during your daily commute or while working out.
In this article, we’re giving you a deeper insight into the Arctis headphones by Steelseries and telling you why you should buy them, what to look for, and more.
What is Arctis by Steelseries?
Steelseries is a well-known and widely reputed Danish electronics manufacturer, which specializes in producing gaming paraphernalia including headphones, keyboards, mice, and more.
Steelseries headphones are considered some of the best in the industry, with great sound quality, balanced audio and good microphones with low distortion. Their designs are also gaming-oriented and are meant to be ergonomic, comfortable, and wearable for prolonged periods.
Amongst the Steelseries headphones, their Arctis range gets the most love. The Arctis range of headphones, which includes Arctis Pro, Arctis 7X, Arctis 9X, and more, are perhaps some of their best products yet. These are beloved not only for the points mentioned above but also for unique features that you can’t get anywhere else. For instance, Arctis headphones are compatible with Xbox One, using the Xbox Wireless Connection, which isn’t something many other headphones can do. The one-of-a-kind ski-band design makes for a comfortable fit every time, as well.
What Are The Best Arctis Headphones?
Under the Arctis brand, there are numerous headphones, each of which differs by features, price, design, and more. Needless to say, if you look closely enough, you’ll find that there is something for everyone. However, if you want to know which ones we think are the best, then take a look below to see our favorite picks.
1. Arctis Pro Wireless.
Coming in at the top, we have the Arctis Pro Wireless which, according to us, surely takes the cake. These uniquely built wireless headphones are perfect for gaming, but can equally translate into the perfect headset for daily use as well. It comes with a neutral, well-balanced sound profile that is suitable for listening to all kinds of audios, but you can always adjust it to your liking through the customizable graphic EQ as well as the numerous presets available. Unlike other headphones which often tend to have a flimsy microphone, the Arctis Pro Wireless has one that allows for crystal clear communication. On top of that, the battery lasts for a good 15 hours which should last you an entire workday or a good gaming session, with ease. However, the few drawbacks are that until and unless it fits you like a glove, incorrect placement of the headphone can ruin the sound quality and lower bass.
2. Arctis 7X
The next model that we highly recommend is the Arctis 7X, which is the Xbox-compatible version of the previous Arctis 7P. The unique ski-band design makes the Arctis 7X a comfortable device to have on the head for hours. The sound quality is energetic and high quality, without being distorted. While it is primarily created, and hence, best for gaming, it is also a viable option for working out. It has a stable and comfortable body and fits snugly, but like most other headphones, it does run the risk of falling off when activities get intense. Another problem is that it isn’t very lightweight and can be a bit bulky. This can make it inconvenient for the commute as well. While it is a good pair of headphones, it fails to block out noise and chatter, which may not make it the best for your commute trip if you want total noise cancellation.
3. Arctis 1 Wireless
One of the best-selling models, the Arctis 1 Wireless headphone is a great way to start if you want to the out an Arctis gadget without breaking your bank. Created with gaming compatibility in mind, the Arctis 1 can be used on your Nintendo Switch, PS5, and Android as well. Like its fellow Arctis headphones, the Arctis 1 Wireless comes with a durable and comfortable design. It is equipped with the Clearcast noise cancellation, which makes for a clear and uninterrupted listening experience. It is a good upgrade from the Arctis 1, which was wired and hence constricted from free gameplay. However, it is less impressive compared to its brethren, with low noise isolation, and a flimsy design.
